WHO IS
NORMA PERENCEVIC
I was working full time when my mother, Genoveva, a retired and very independent woman was diagnosed with infectious kidney disease, subsequently causing other organs to slowly lose function. Over time, she could hardly manage her household, causing her life to change dramatically. I was fortunate to be flexible, to assist and care for her, ultimately becoming her personal primary caregiver.
I managed to support her needs and care for her the last 10 years of her life, by scheduling appointments, driving her to weekly Dr. appointments, checking her glucose before meals, taking her blood pressure, filling her weekly medications and reminders, prepping healthy meals, assisting with grooming, dressing and bathing. She enjoyed hand and foot massages to improve her circulation along with having her hair set for the day, but not before a relaxing facial steam. Getting pampered by applying moisturizer and makeup always made my mom feel young and pretty. Nothing gave me greater joy than to see her feel her independence and put together despite whatever health conditions she may have been feeling that particular day.
Genoveva was a long-term type 1 diabetic who had congestive heart failure and recovered from a double kidney transplant. Over the years, her aches and discomfort increased causing her mobile abilities to diminish. Now more than ever, my mom needed more care and assistance to continue keeping her engaged to living a full and normal life.
Most often, the process of finding trusting help was unpredictable, but she was still fortunate to remain in the comfort of her own home as she wished and almost independently. This was huge for her and brought her so much joy...so much so, it inspired me to want to provide the same personal care for someone else’s loved one.
My passion for helping aging adults allows me to not only fill the void in my heart of missing my mom but to make sure I can bring that same happiness to your special someone. The goal is to keep them engaged and live life to the fullest. Allow me to help you find a personalized plan tailored for your own loved one at an affordable cost.
